All Saints Childhood Center

Greetings! We are currently hiring for a full-time early childhood director who will be responsible for the administration and daily operations of the Tuesday & Thursday program.

 

All Saints Early Childhood Center provides a high quality, age-appropriate environment rich with Catholic values and traditions where all children can develop through hands-on experience and purposeful play. We foster the development of the whole child by encouraging all children to grow cognitively, creatively, emotionally, physically, spiritually and socially in a nurturing, respectful and safe environment.

 

Interested applicants must be at least 21 years of age, have a high school diploma or equivalent, be able to pass background check, proven leadership, managerial, organizational & recruiting skills, outstanding communication & interpersonal skills and meet the following requirements:

 

EDUCATION (Must be able to meet education and experience combinations according to 746.1015 Texas Minimum Standards for Child Care Centers)

  • Minimum: Nine college credit hours in child development and nine college credit hours in management

 

  • Preferred: Child Development Associate Credential; Child Care Administrator’s Certificate, Day Care Administrator’s Credential Associate or Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Elementary Education or Human Development & Family Studies)

 

EXPERIENCE (Must be able to meet education and experience combinations according to 746.1015 Texas Minimum Standards for Child Care Centers)

  • Minimum: Lead teacher with 1-3 years in a licensed child care center, mother’s day out program, lab school or classroom teaching in a public/private accredited school in grades pre-k through third

 

  • Preferred: Director, assistant director or curriculum coordinator with 3 years in a licensed child care center, mother’s day out program, lab school or classroom teaching in a public/private accredited school in grades pre-k through third

 

CERTIFICATION

  • CPR/First Aid or willing to obtain
  • Safe Environment Training CMGconnect – “Safe Haven-It’s Up to You” or willing to obtain
  • Formation Towards Christian Ministry (FTCM) or willing to obtain

 

JOB DUTIES

Your job duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Establish and maintain a safe, healthy, positive and supportive age-appropriate learning environment
  • Plan and implement curriculum that meets the physical, intellectual, emotional and social needs of all children including the Catechetical Framework for Early Childhood
  • Maintain children’s and personnel files
  • Purchase classroom/playground equipment and supplies
  • Plan and implement professional development for ECC staff
  • Manage and provide recommendations on the ECC budget
  • Knowledge of accreditation and regulation procedures
  • Build a trusting relationship with each friend and family
  • Plan and coordinate parent & family events
  • Attend staff meetings, conferences and professional growth opportunities
  • Maintain communication with the Office of Evangelization and Catechesis and attendance at the Archdiocese events related to early childhood ministries
