Greater Heights Business Solutions
I am originally from rural Oklahoma, but I moved to Texas shortly after graduating from high school. I attended and graduated from Sam Houston State University in 2000 with a degree in Finance.
After graduating I started my career and spent the next 10 years at Shell Pipeline working in various roles in accounting and financial analysis. I also obtained my MBA from SHSU in 2003 while working at Shell.
I left Shell and the finance field briefly to explore another passion of mine – real estate. Although I decided, ultimately, not to pursue real estate as a career, I have maintained my real estate license as a means of managing my rental properties that I own.
After leaving real estate, I went back into the finance field in 2014 working for a travel agency as their finance manager.
After I had my beautiful twin daughters in 2016. I decided I wanted to be more present for them while they were small, so I created Greater Heights Business Solutions – a virtual bookkeeping business. This business has given me the opportunity to build and grow a business from scratch all while having the flexibility to be hands on with my daughters.
I love serving my small business owners as they start and/or grow their businesses. I love the details, cleaning up messes, figuring out solutions to problems, delivering a clean set financials and advice that helps them understand and grow their businesses.
I joined the chamber in 2018 shortly after I started my business. I am very active in the chamber, and I serve or have served on multiple committees – Gala, Crawfish Festival, Ambassador, and Membership Engagement – chair/co-chair as well as a few others when asked.
