Tell us a little bit about you. Things you like outside of school, etc.…

My name is Elise Oupo and I graduated from DeVry Keller Graduate School of Management with a Master degree in Accounting and Financial Management. I also have a Bachelor degree In Business Administration emphasis Accounting from the same university. Actually, I work as Youth Development Coach at TJJD – Giddings Campus. I’m a new teacher at Waltrip High School. Outside of school, I like to go to church, listen to gospel music. Most of the time, I prefer to stay home watching TV.

Give us an idea of your education passion, can you tell us something of why you chose education…

I have been passionate about education since my childhood. One of Teacher Mr. Gallet in Middle School helped me to have this passion by his kindness and love for students. But growing, I started changing the passion to Accounting. Even though I was working as an Accountant, I still have a passion for education. Education is a rewarding career because the child you teach today can be the President of the United States or Senator tomorrow. I like people, I like to be around them and share our experiences.

To help you feel better what do you like? Card, Starbucks, candy, prayer, etc.… list as many things as you wish

Exercise, help others (volunteer), nuts and seeds

To help you with supplies, what items are you wanting?

In this Covid-19 session, I would like to have in my classroom sanitizer for students to use, spray bottles to spray the tables, pencils, color pencils, weighted counting Bears, Prewriting Motor skills, and other materials that Special Education 12th grade needs.
