This month we feature Hector Castellanos with Allegiance Bank. Hector was born in Guatemala City, Guatemala. He spent his younger years growing up in Thousand Oaks, California next to the Dallas Cowboys training camp in Moorpark at the time. His high school years took place in Arvada, Colorado, a small suburb west of Denver.
Hector is a big, no make that a huge sports fan whether playing or watching. His High School Powerlifting team took first place, 3 years in a row, from 1995-1997 at the AAU Junior Olympics. He personally took first place in the 1995 and 1997 for his weight class and 4th place in 1996.
Hector attended Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado, where his accomplishments included earning a B.S. in Psychology, a B.A. in Sociology with a concentration in Criminology and a minor in Political Science. Hector moved to Houston in September of 2002 and began his banking career with Wells Fargo as a Personal Banker in 2004.
In 2005, he moved over to Chase Bank and worked out of the Downtown Office in the old Texas Commerce building. He moved to the Heights location as a Relationship Manager in 2011 and worked there until October 2017. He recently joined the Allegiance Bank team in the Heights Office in October of 2017 as a Commercial Lender. Hector recently commented that it has been a very rewarding experience being a part of the Allegiance Bank team.
He joined the Chamber in 2011 and has become an active member, served on numerous committees as well as being a member of the Chamber Board. The Castellanos family includes wife Julia, their beautiful 2-year old daughter Mackenzie and their 9-year old dog, Luna. Building friendships and taking on tough projects is easy for Hector. His engaging personality has allowed him to stand out in his career and as a valued Chamber member and volunteer. Congratulations Hector, we greatly respect you and your many accomplishments.
The Chamber member profiled every month is drawn from the business cards of those attending the Breakfast Connection or Noontime Networking.
