Help Students and Teachers Affected by Hurricane Harvey

Many HISD and private school families have been devastated by the catastrophic flooding caused by Hurricane Harvey.  Students lost their school supplies and teachers lost their classroom supplies.

Education Committee Chair, Cindy Reibenstein will be working with local schools to find out where the needs are greatest and what exactly their students and teachers need.  The Greater Heights Chamber of Commerce’s Community Fund will then purchase those supplies to distribute to the schools (elementary, middle and high school) in the Greater Heights area that have expressed a need for help.

If you would like to help, please consider a monetary donation to the Community Fund.   Due to the immediate need, we must react quickly.  Therefore, this is NOT a school supply drive…we are offering direct  support to those affected schools.

Checks should be made payable to the Greater Heights Community Fund and can be dropped off at our office or brought to breakfast on September 14.

Thank you for your support of our local schools, educators and students!
