Members Trust of the Southwest FCU, located in Houston, Texas, with over $180 million in assets, is currently seeking a Vice President of Operations to oversee two branches and branch operational compliance. This individual will report directly to the President/CEO and will be responsible for front line operations, writing and maintaining procedures, developing and training staff, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Responsibilities will also include financial reporting on operations, maintaining compliance of IRA accounts, and promoting a sales and service culture within the organization. The ideal candidate will have five plus years of management experience within a financial institution and be well versed in branch retail operations. Travel between branches in Houston and Stephenville, Texas will be required.
Members Trust of the Southwest Federal Credit Union was chartered in 1936 as Houston Milk Producers Federal Credit Union to serve dairy farmers in Harris County, Texas, which at the time numbered approximately 440 farmers. The area served, otherwise known as the “milk shed,” grew to include areas in far east Texas, to the west out to LaGrange and Brenham, and to the north up to Navasota and Madisonville. In 2000, Houston Milk Producers FCU changed its name to Members Trust of the Southwest FCU, in order to more accurately reflect its diversified and growing field of membership.
